Heading to New York Soon
Happy Monday Troops! Jilli had labs today and they are looking good. All her blood counts are coming up on their own; no transfusions needed. This is great news because we have an announcement to make…It is now finally time to remove that tumor in her belly! Most recent scans show that the tumor has been reduced once again but due to it’s vascular nature, it remains a risky surgery…One that our surgeon Dr. Fiore is still not comfortable in performing. So we are now headed to Rochester NY for surgery. Strong Memorial…here we come…lookout! As expected, it is all happening very quickly; her surgery is scheduled for December 3rd. We will be leaving Vegas on Friday (after Thanksgiving) and are expected to check in and meet the staff at Strong on Monday…hopefully the weather will not cause a problem with flights. Jesse and Sienna will be flying with Jilli & I. They will be returning to Vegas once Jilli is stable. Jilli & I will be staying there until she is cleared to fly home. The plan is to continue her recovery at home and then we will be returning to Rochester for the Stem Cell Transplant sometime soon after Christmas. That date will be determined later…Jilli must be completely recovered from surgery before she gets high dose chemo and stem cell re-infusion. We are all very excited but at the same time nervous about the upcoming procedures. With the Thanksgiving holiday fast approaching, We want to say to you all that we are thankful for all your love and support, Please have a safe and happy Thanksgiving! SALUTE!

Prayers for safe travels and event free surgery. Strong is a wonderful facility – we spent 6 months there with our first child (nicu). Check out the Ronald McDonald house within the hospital if you need anything.
