Scan Results and Going Home Today

Jillian’s Army Update!

Good morning troops. Sorry I have not posted anything this week. Mostly uneventful (thankfully). We have been keeping Jillian on schedule with Emend and Zofran and it has kept her nausea at bay, no vomiting thus far. But she has not been eating or drinking much. Wed. and Thurs were big scan days. We did the MIBG scans to map out any NB in her body so of course we have been waiting anxiously for those results. I am happy to report that this morning we got the word that there was no new evidence of the spread of the disease. The few areas that lit up in her scan back in July (shoulders, chest, spine) were gone! The only areas left are in her abdomen and in her knees but we suspect that the knees are just growth plates lighting up, not necessarily cancer cells. I’m so happy those scans are done for a while. She had to be completely still for them and all the Docs attempts at a sedative failed. Drugs made her crazy. We sustained some battle wounds as she was coming off the meds. She bit my arm on my bicep and scratched daddy’s face as we tried to keep her from pulling out her lines. It was very upsetting to see our baby girl act as if she were possessed. She finally passed out in the hallway and after carrying her to bed, she slept it off for 12 hours. For now on propofol is the ONLY way to go. But that is behind us and now we do some super hydration in her IV before we discharge. We are coming home today. Lots of prayers, love and white light…we need a quiet 2 weeks at home with no fevers or illnesses as her WBC bottoms out and comes back up. We want a healthy Jilli going into our last round of chemo in this induction phase! Oh and Dr B approved her to travel on our wish trip barring any unforseen medical issues! WE ARE GOIN TO DISNEYWORLD BABY! November will be a great month!

Thank you all for the support in this fight!
