July 2014 Soldiers of The Month

Greetings Army!

Another month is upon us and as we wind down our Soldier of the Month features we have some awesome soldiers featured for July. Please visit jilliansarmy.com to read about the incredible doctors and staff of Strong Memorial Hospital/Golisano Children’s Hospital/Wilmot Cancer Center Sixth Floor in Rochester, New York. This is the hospital that treated Jillian during her tumor removal surgery and for her stem cell transplant procedure. These were the most critical and dangerous procedures Jillian had to endure, and this hospital is amazing. Strong Memorial is far from home but never far from the hearts of Jillian’s family and Jillian’s Army. SALUTE!!!

I would also like to add a few shoutouts here… The Nurse Manager Tammy in WCC6 – she made the girls name badges like the staff had and she always had candy in her office..Jilli knew that and liked to make frequent stops in there on her walks around the hall! An extra special thanks to Shaun for driving me to get Jilli a donut so I didn’t have to walk in the snow when the temp was a balmy -1 and for taking such good care of us…you have no idea how much that meant! There were other doctors on Andolina’s team.. Dr Korones, Dr. Bruckner, and Dr. Norohna…Thank you! And our a gal who was our nurse A LOT Christina..you taught Jilli ballet and she STILL wants to take classes when she is “all better” I think you were her favorite. She always would talk about you..Thank you! There really were so many others and my crazy brain can’t remember all the names, but WCC6 was the best place for us to be and I am very appreciative for the love and care you ALL gave us. SALUTE!!!!

  • So many others to thank from WCC6!!!!! You all know who you are!

  • We are inpatient at Strong as I write this for round 2 of antibody infusions. Dr Andolina was in to see Delaney this morning… I couldn’t agree more- this hospital has always treated us so well. They love & care for all of us like we are their family. Hope all is well out West!! xxooxxoo
