Stem Cell Harvest (finally)
Today is the day we have been waiting for! Her WBC is up above 1,000 so it’s go time! We had a little hiccup in the beginning because one of her lines were not giving a good enough return. But if she lays a certain way and holds STILL, we have it working. But for 5 hrs?? And she was freaking out a bit so we gave her some meds to make her chill out and she is hilarious! she is higher than a kite and singing at the top of her lungs! It’s hysterical! WE won’t know how many stem calls are collected and if it’s enough til late tonight, even midnight. If they have enough, we go home tomorrow. If not, we do this again tomorrow. This is going to be the longest 5 hrs EVER!

I have been there! My son is 1 and I had to hold his arm up and back the whole time! And poor return, a clot in one line. It goes on. All told it took 4 days to get enough. Wishing you better luck than we had!!!!
