Nurses and Interior Decorators
The awesome nursing staff here at St Rose Siena love Jilli so much! They colored minions and decked her room with the pics upon our arrival last night. Notice the Jillian’s Army logo on the minions clothes. I love it! And we always call her IV pole the “Jilli Tree” so now it is officially a Jilli Tree with fall leaves. Daddy and Jilli just hanging out playing while we wait for our turn to go into surgery. I hate waiting. Dr B just told us that we will not only be doing the bone marrow aspirate to see if the cancer remains or is gone, but it is scan week…time to check on the tumor. Major anxiety. And to top it all off, her WBC and ANC was high again last night! So we get to stay here in the hospital until they drop and bounce back up because we HAVE to get those stem cells this time. Guess it’s gonna be another long week living here at the hospital. At least we have the “Suite” again. I wish we could get on with this surgery…… -CIC Mom

Hello, my name is Jessica. I was on fb and came across a friend who liked your status. When I opened up your website, I realized your headline about Jill was all to familiar. When I was 3 years old back in ’89, I was diagnosed with neuroblastoma in stage IV also. Today I am 27 years old. I had tumors wrapped around my spine and organs. I received full body radiation, adult chemotherapy and had a bone marrow transplant with my own marrow. It’s been a bumpy road-and definitely one that continues so that I can keep myself healthy under the circumstances. I just wanted to share a little bit about myself and offer my support. I know that each story, each child and family, each disease is unique and different in its own way but, I’d be happy to share my experience with you to offer/shed some light on the future. I do realize that having a complete stranger bring up such a thing May not be for everyone. So I’ll leave with my love, support and prayers for you, your beautiful daughter and your family. Many blessings, jessica
Good luck with the upcoming scans and such! Praying for her good health!
Ps, not sure where you live but I’m from Rochester, NY and if you lube in NY you should look into Camp Good Days & Special Times… they have been my home away from home and a great resource for myself and my family. Even if you aren’t from around here, check them out, they may be able to assust you I’m finding a local place that she might enjoy and you all as a family.
Very nice!
